One of the ways data was generated for the In the Key project was Sam learning to produce electronic music herself. Known as ‘autoethnography’ – meaning to describe oneself – this method involves researcher analysis of their own thoughts, behaviours and feelings in a kind of ‘inside-out’ relationship with the topic. From first opening music production software in 2018 to achieving label releases and a Beatport No.1 on the releases chart in 2020, Sam has been producing an eclectic range of music, some of which you can hear below.
